  1. I recently read North and South. I’m almost surprised someone else read it this year.

  2. I read Paper Towns about two months ago and definitely enjoyed it! It’s one of those reads that is filled with slight depth and I like that. You look lovely!

  3. You may have already read this, but if not, there is a trio of books called Trylle by Amanda Hocking, starting with the first book, Switched. I’d recommend it because it’s fantasy, with love affairs, royalty, and shock twists that I did not expect AT ALL in the last book.
I really love magic, and there’s lots of that in the books as well. They’re great, and very well-written. ^.^

    I think you’d like them a lot. 🙂

  4. I read Paper Towns and I loved it! I guess I even like it more than The Fault in Our Stars. I’m very much looking forward to seeing the film (:

  5. Read ‘The Shock of the Fall’, ‘Girl on the Train’ and ‘The Rosie Project. All three worth a read – I especially liked ‘TRP’s quirky take on the romance novel.

  6. I’m avoiding John Greene’s writing like the plague, and I am just about to start girl on the Train#

      1. When books like his get movie deal after movie deal I always get so excited, read the book, then think it isn’t worth the fuss. So I just haven’t bothered haha.
It took me forever to read anything by Gillian Flynn because of this!

      2. Yea I have The Fault in Our Stars in my amazon cart already, I think it’s only right I give it a read in the midst of all this hype! 😀 I read Gone Girl and Dark Places and was pleasantly surprised 🙂 Not the kind of books I would reread but they’re definitely good for some quick drama.

  7. Hi! That’s quite a list. I’ve read two:

The Girl on the Train — good old fashioned thriller. I love Hitchcock’s “Rear Window” and this was a literary homage but with a few surprising new twists.

The Rosie Project— Loved this. I dated a guy in college who, years later was diagnosed as “highly functioning autistic” so a lot of things were funny and familiar.

You should give yourself a treat and read Roddy Doyle just for fun.
